Applications are now open for spring 2026 (unpaid) internships with the Conflict Research & Security Studies Lab. Learn more about the lab at an informational open house on Wednesday, February 18 at 1pm, Stephen Roberts Hall, rm 223 (280 Brook St). Interviews will be conducted onsite from 2-4pm.
Conflict Research and Security Studies is a social/data science lab: students gain hands-on experience in data collection, data analysis, and research methods. The opportunity is appropriate for university students interested in social movements, public health, electoral violence, or methods. Lab members gain quantitative coding and country expertise during their tenure. Interested applicants may attend the 1 pm presentation on the lab and in-person on-site interviews will be conducted from 1:45-4. Accepted applicants must be able to attend one of the two orientations scheduled for either Thursday, February 19 (3-5pm) or Friday, February 20 (11am-1pm). In-person trainings will be available for new members on either Thursday, Feb 19 (6-8pm), and Friday, Feb 20 (2-4pm).
