The Conflict Research and Security Studies Lab is now accepting applications for Lead Coders for the Fall 2026 Lab Cohort. The lab studies topics such as political violence, social movements, and democratic backsliding. The coders will be working on either the Mass Protect Project or the Forced Sterilization and Public Backlash Project. The lab is looking for 3-4 lead coders for the Mass Protest Project and 2-3 for the Forced Sterilization and Public Backlash Project. Students will attend a training session and then be expected to commit 5-10 hours a week during the semester. Through participating in the lab, students receive hands-on experience with data analysis and methodology. Apply using the link below!
