From Research to Real-World Impact: Meet CRSS Lab Supervisor @Verena Welch

“As a supervisor at the CRSS lab, I oversee my peers as we investigate mass protests and forced sterilization policy by analyzing news media and coding results based on a comprehensive set of variables to understand campaign dynamics, domestic and international reactions, and protest/sterilization impacts.

“The experience I have gained conducting inter-coder-reliability, coordinating meetings, and creating training manuals will allow me to spearhead future work in a job related to project development and research in conflict studies and international health policy”
